What to expect at Hillcrest
Where is Hillcrest located? We are located in northeast El Paso. Our address is 4710 Hercules Avenue, El Paso, TX 79904. (For more contact information and a map, click here.)
What time do the services start? We have two identical services on Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. During these times there are Life Stages Sunday School Classes meeting as well, which upon your arrival we can assist you in finding if you wish. The Sunday evening service begins at 6:00 p.m. and the Wednesday evening service at 7:00 p.m.
What kind of Sunday School or small group classes are available? We encourage people to attend our Bible fellowship groups in order to connect with others. Classes are offered for all ages at 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Greeters can direct you to your room and will have the most updated list of adult, teen, childrens, and preschool classes and their locations. They will also guide you to the rooms. This is where fellowship, encouragement, and the Word of God becomes real!
Is there any sort of childcare or nursery available? We offer children’s church and junior church for those who prefer to have children in a "children's church" service as they worship. On Wednesday nights we have Amazing Bees and Patch the Pirate programs which offer a variety of children's choirs, scripture memory, exciting activities, and Bible instruction. Our nursery facilities (0-5yrs) are located in the Stewart Family Life Center, adjacent to the church auditorium and accessible by covered walk-way. For those children in a nursery, you are given a pager that can notify you if the nursery staff needs to get a hold of you for any reason.
What are the services like? Our services generally last a little over an hour, and include a time of worshipping the Lord with a variety of traditional songs and hymns, and a message from the Word of God by our pastor.
Am I expected to participate in the offering? We do not expect any visitor to participate in the offering. We desire that the service be a gift and blessing to you. Please come and enjoy the warm, friendly fellowship, the worship of the Lord, and the Bible-based sermon without any feeling of obligation.
